Billions Network has unveiled its mobile identity application for Android and iOS platforms, introducing what it claims to be the first AI-resistant verification system that preserves user privacy. The solution combines NFC-based document scanning with zero-knowledge proof cryptography to authenticate identities without collecting sensitive biometric data.
The launch comes months after Polish investor Borys Musielak demonstrated how AI tools like ChatGPT could generate convincing fake passports capable of bypassing conventional KYC checks. "Traditional verification methods are becoming increasingly vulnerable to AI manipulation," noted Evin McMullen, Billions' CEO. The new app reportedly requires only liveliness checks during verification, storing no personal data on centralized servers.
Built on the Privado ID infrastructure, the system leverages:
• NFC chip reading for government-issued documents
• Circom's open-source ZK-proof framework
• Local device storage for sensitive information
• End-to-end encrypted cloud backups for multi-device access
With over 9,000 services already using Circom's authentication technology—including TikTok and Aptos—Billions Network plans to expand its offerings. Future developments include a web wallet interface and DeepTrust framework for AI identity verification. The company emphasizes its approach differs from biometric solutions by keeping all personal data encrypted and offchain.
Privado ID executives clarified user information remains under individual control through private key encryption. While enabling cross-device functionality through encrypted cloud storage, the system allegedly prevents third-party access unless explicitly authorized by users—a design choice responding to growing concerns about data breaches in digital identity systems.
